The Columbia Mega NEV series of vehicles conform to NHTSA CFR Title 49 – 571.500, Low Speed Vehicle Regulations and are licensable as such in 45 states, including North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia. They are an ideal choice for landscape maintenance or general hauling on college campuses, at city parks, in urban centers – any place that a compact, highly maneuverable, licensable, on-road alternative fuel vehicle is desired. They are easy to drive and extremely inexpensive to operate.

The Columbia Mega Drop Side NEV has a 992 lb. load capacity, 25 mph top speed and a range of up to 50 miles. It is perfectly capable of most jobs that might otherwise require a cumbersome, gas guzzling pick up truck. Its waist high bed with drop sides and tailgate allow for easy hand loading or for placing pallet loads with a fork truck.

An on-board charger and single point battery watering system simplify recharging and maintenance. Additional convenience features include tinted glass, a center storage pocket and a “lights on” warning buzzer. Safety features include seat belts, turn signals and emergency hazard lights.
